Yamamoto Natsuaki

2013年 第62回神宮式年遷宮(伊勢神宮)の際に御太刀の復元に携わる。

Among the many techniques of "chokin (metal chasing)," Yamamoto Natsuaki is especially skilled in "katakiribori (uneven V-shaped engraving)," a technique that engraves lines in imitation of brush strokes. Also excelling in the colored-metal inlay decoration techniques, Yamamoto is one of the few metal inlay artists who render patterns by inlaying different colored metals, including copper, copper alloy, silver, and silver alloy, into the base metal.

Metal engraver. Member of the Japan Kōgei Association.
Yamamoto engaged in the reproduction of the Ontachi sword on the occasion of the 62nd Jingu Shikinen Sengu at Ise Shrine in 2013.
